It's a pleasure to meet you all virtually!
This is Chaitanya Khot from Mumbai, India. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Business Analytics at UC Davis Graduate School of Management in San Francisco.
I come from a diverse educational background comprising finance and communication studies. While these skillsets helped kickstart my professional journey, my career at India's largest media conglomerate led me to a timely transition into Accenture as a Digital Project Manager. As a part of this role, I led a team of project managers to deliver global product launches and digital media collaterals for Jaguar Land Rover North America.
The project was an instrumental part of JLR's global strategy called "Reimagine", which focused on completely transforming its supply chain, design, manufacturing, operations, and marketing. This meant that the organization had to adapt to newer ways of working and processes efficiently.
Specifically for marketing and operations, the organization adopted a test-and-learn mindset and started evaluating all its decisions based on data and insights as opposed to the creative vision of the brand and marketing teams. This has led to a significant impact, and the success of the brand in the recent past speaks volumes of the value that data-driven marketing has enabled for Jaguar Land Rover. This was my inspiration to pursue the study of data and business analytics. The potential of leveraging data to create a meaningful change motivates me to broaden my horizons and delve deeper into the study of analytics.
