    The finalist papers of the 2022 INFORMS Behavioral Operations Management Best Working Paper Competition are the following (in no particular order):


    "Disclosing Low Product Availability: An Online Retailer's Strategy for Mitigating Stockout Risk", by Dmitry Mitrofanov and Benjamin Knight.

    "Under-Promising and Over-Delivering to Improve Patient Satisfaction at Emergency Departments: Evidence from a Field Experiment Providing Wait Information", by Sina Ansari, Laurens Debo, María Ibáñez, Seyed M.R. Iravani, and Sanjeev Malik.

    "Can Employees' Past Helping Behavior be Used to Improve Shift Scheduling? Evidence from ICU Nurses", by Zhaohui (Zoey) Jiang, John Silberholz, Yixin (Iris) Wang, Deena Costa, and Michael Sjoding.

    "Supplying Cash-Constrained Retailers: Understanding Shopkeeper Behavior at the Bottom of the Pyramid", by Sebastián Villa, Rafael Escamilla, and Jan Fransoo.


    Congratulations to the four teams of coauthors! Please join us in the award's Final session on Monday, October 17, at 2:00 PM, in room M-Texas, where the four papers will be presented; this is session MD77 in the conference's program. The winning paper will be announced during the Final. The winner will also be celebrated during the BOM Section Business Meeting on Monday, October 17 at 6:30 PM.
