It is my pleasure to announce that the winner of this year's Harold Hotelling Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment is Dr. Erin Baker of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. For those of you who plan to attend the INFORMS Annual Meeting in November, we will recognize Dr. Baker as the Hotelling Medal winner at our ENRE section business meeting, and Dr. Baker will deliver her Hotelling Medal lecture in a dedicated ENRE session at the conference. We hope that you will attend these special ENRE events and we will send out more information about them as the conference approaches.

More Information: Dr. Erin Baker is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and Faculty Director of the Energy Transition Institute, at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She first joined the UMass Amherst faculty in 2002 after completing her Ph.D. in Engineering Economic Systems & Operations Research at Stanford University. Dr. Baker's methodological expertise spans operations research and economics, with a particular focus on methods for decision-making under uncertainty. In the ENRE domain, she has made significant research contributions in the areas of energy systems modeling, energy economics, energy and climate policy analysis, technological change, energy and environmental justice, and integrated assessment modeling. Dr. Baker also has an outstanding track record as a mentor to students and young researchers, and has served in a number of leadership roles for ENRE, the Decision Analysis Society, and INFORMS.
