    We are saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague Andy Loerch (Professor and Associate Chair of the Systems Engineering and Operations Research Department at George Mason University, Retired Colonel U.S. Army, Past President and Fellow of MORS).  Andy passed away after a brief but strong battle with pancreatic cancer. He will be greatly missed.     Andy will be buried at Arlington Cemetery on Wednesday, October 19 at 11:00 am.  There will be a service in the Old Post Chapel (204 Lee Avenue, Fort Mayer, VA) prior to the burial, with arrival time at the chapel no later than 10:00 am.   There will be limited space in the chapel, but unlimited attendance at the burial site.  Andy will receive full military honors.  Photo ID is required to attend.
