INFORMS is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the John von Neumann Theory Prize, one of the Institute's highest honors recognizing fundamental and sustained contributions to theory in operations research and the management sciences.
The John von Neumann Theory Prize is awarded annually to an individual-or, in the case of joint work, a group-whose body of scholarly work has had a profound and lasting impact on the theory of OR/MS. The prize honors contributions that demonstrate significance, innovation, depth, and scientific excellence, and that have stood the test of time.
The prize is awarded for a body of work, rather than a single publication, and reflects a career of theoretical contributions that have advanced the field of OR/MS in a fundamental way.
