    In honor of Earth Day, April 22nd, let's play this or that. Tell us which is your favorite – the mountains or the beach? If you like, please share a photo of your favorite.

    Wow -- tough call since we have both here in Alabama. I'm leaning (at the moment) towards the beach. The sand in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area is sugar white and the Gulf of Mexico is very calming. Attached is a picture from Gulf State Park. Enjoy!

    What a beautiful picture, James.

    While I can't win the gift card, I'll vote. I prefer the mountains especially if there is a stream or some body of water. It is very calming for me.

    This is a REAL easy question for me. I am 100% a beach girl and I'm happiest when my feet are in the sand.

    My family just got back from a vacation to Siesta Key Florida. I've attached a picture of our first sunset on the Gulf. It was a bit windy that night :)

    I am a serious beach-goer. I've always gone to the beach growing up, and my parents took us every summer for vacations. I love waking up by the sound of the waves crashing into the shore and going for an early beach walk in the morning when the beach is still quite. My dream destination is to visit Bora Bora in the French Polynesia.

    I am a beach person but I especially love when the blue meets the green, the sea meets the forests and mountains, which is the case in Turkey's coast. Here is a picture from one of my favorite vacation spots: Cesme in Turkey.

    It's the beach for me (fear of heights). Here's a recent pic from a friend's trip to Laguna Beach. Current musts must haves for my dream retirement location are: beautiful beaches and spring/summer temperatures.

    For me it is definitely mountains. I live in Alberta, Canada, so I don't have a choice either.
    But Mountains and hiking are very calming for me. Here is a photo of the Mountains around Lake O'hara in British Columbia.

    Another beach person here, although I love anywhere I can be outside in a warm breeze. This picture is from many years ago, camping on Assateague Island. It's one of the more peaceful places I've ever been. After a couple days there we left the island to have dinner at a restaurant. It was so noisy and overstimulating, I couldn't wait to get back. If you need a total reset, I recommend Assateague! (But bring your bug spray – set one foot off the sand and the mosquitoes will get you.)

    I prefer both! For me, it all depends on the season. I usually prefer to go to beaches in Summer and the mountains in Fall and Winter. But if I had to, I would choose the beach.
