    Dear colleagues,

     

    We are pleased to announce the finalists of the 2021 INFORMS Doing Good with Good OR Student Paper Competition.

     

    Here are the finalists in alphabetical order:

    • Rebecca Alcock, University of Wisconsin: "Shield-Net: Matching Supply with Demand for Face Shields During the COVID-19 Pandemic"
    • Paul Goelz, Carnegie Mellon University: "Fair Algorithms for Selecting Citizens' Assemblies"
    • Enrique Lelo de Larrea (with Elioth Sanabria and Sevin Mohammadi), Columbia University: "EMS Hospital Load Balancing in New York City"
    • Michael Li, Massachusetts Institute of Technology: "Data-Driven COVID-19 Vaccine Development for Janssen"
    • Omar Skali Lami (with Amine Bennouna, David Nze-Ndong, Divya Singhvi, Ioannis Spantidakis, Leann Thayaparan and Asterios Tsiourvas), Massachusetts Institute of Technology: "The Power of Analytics in Epidemiology for COVID-19: Prediction, Prevalence, and Vaccine Allocation"
    • Lily Xu, Harvard University: "Learning, Optimization, and Planning Under Uncertainty for Wildlife Conservation"

    All the finalists are invited to present their papers in the Doing Good with Good OR session on Sunday, October 24, 2021 during the Annual Meeting.
