    Dear Colleagues,

The INFORMS Service Science Section will host the business meeting at the INFORMS Annual Meeting on Nov. 9 (Monday) at 5:45 pm-6:45 pm (EST). Both members of the Service Science Section and non-members who are interested in knowing more about the section are welcome to join. We will introduce the events, activities, and initiatives of the section, and provide an update on the Service Science journal (by Prof. Saif Benjaafar, EIC of the journal).

The section will also host a Doctoral Student Consortium on Nov. 12 (Thursday) at 5:45 pm-6:45 pm (EST). Current doctoral students, as well as all members and non-members who are interested, are welcome to join. During the event, we will discuss how to manage the job market and career choice during the pandemic and hear suggestions on the directions in service research. Current panelists include (alphabetically) Aly Megahed (IBM), Chris Tang (UCLA), Mike Pinedo (NYU), Roland Rust (Univ. of Maryland), and Saif Benjaafar (Univ. of Minnesota), moderated by Prof. Paul Messinger (Univ. of Alberta).

Both events can be accessed via the same Zoom link provided below. You do not need to register for the 2020 INFORMS conference to attend the business meeting and the consortium.
