MSOM Healthcare Operations Management SIG 2020 Conference

June 28, 2020
The Healthcare Operations Management Special Interest Group (Healthcare SIG) of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society (MSOM) will hold its annual conference on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, preceding the MSOM 2020 conference (June 29-30).
On behalf of the Healthcare SIG, we would like to invite you to submit papers at the intersection of healthcare and operations management. Papers based on cutting-edge collaborative work between academics and clinicians/healthcare administrators with important methodological and practical impact are especially encouraged. Acceptance decisions will be based on full paper submissions following a double-blind review by a panel of experts. Presentations will be scheduled in a single track. Papers can be analytical or empirical, methodologically oriented or applied.
Important Dates
Submission deadline (full paper): Feb 16th, 2020 (Extended)
Notification of Acceptance: March 20, 2020
Deadline to update accepted papers: May 27, 2020
Submission Guidelines and Review Process
Submission portal: www.openconf.org/msom2020/track2/openconf.php
- Attach the paper in pdf format:The file should be named <first three words of the paper title>.pdf (e.g., "Optimal nurse staffing.pdf"). The paper should not exceed 32 pages, and should include a separate title page with an abstract and keywords. The paper should comply with the MSOM formatting standards:
www.informs.org/Pubs/MSOM/Submission-Guidelines
- The papers will undergo a double-blind review process by an expert panel. To support this process, author names should NOT appear anywhere in the paper file. The authors of papers accepted to the Healthcare SIG conference may submit an updated paper version by May 27, 2020.
Coordination with the general MSOM Conference
Although the same work may not be presented in both the MSOM Conference and a SIG Conference, authors may have their submission considered by both. To do so, the authors should only make a single submission to the SIG Conference and indicate in the submission that they would also like to be considered for the MSOM conference in case the paper is not accepted by the SIG Conference (which has higher priority). The same work may not be submitted to more than one SIG Conference.
