Job Description: Sabanci School of Management has an open post-doctoral researcher position in the Operations Management and Information Systems group. The School of Management is an AACSB accredited business school located in Istanbul, Turkey. The position is mainly financed by a project funded by Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. The project involves developing mathematical models and solution methods to improve the design and operations of spare parts distribution systems in after-sales service networks. The project will last 24 months and will be jointly conducted by F. Tevhide Altekin and Abdullah Dasci from School of Management and Guvenc Sahin from Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Industrial Engineering program. Applications will be processed as soon as they are received.
The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in industrial engineering, operations management, and operations research or in a related discipline. The required expertise areas include integer programming as well as decomposition approaches such as Benders decomposition and column generation. Strong computer skills are also required and preference will be given to candidates with experience in the use of Gurobi or Cplex.
