I'm writing to share a statement from the INFORMS Executive Committee regarding last week's tragic murders in Atlanta. Similar to the sentiments expressed last year in the wake of George Floyd's death, current events continue to show us that humanity must do better.

We are shocked and saddened by the horrific and senseless attack that occurred last week in Georgia. We strongly condemn all acts and examples of sexism, racism, xenophobia, bigotry, and all that stands in the way of a just, prosperous, and sustainable world for all.
We recognize that this terrible event may cause an extraordinary level of distress and anxiety to many in our community; we value you, we respect you, and we stand with you during this difficult time and beyond.
