Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to announce that the INFORMS Board of Directors has unanimously approved the appointment of Professor Ming Hu (University of Toronto) as the next Editor-in-Chief of Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (M&SOM). His term will begin on January 1, 2027.
Ming brings exceptional vision, research excellence, and dedication to the role, as he has illustrated as EIC of Navel Research Logistics (NRL). The INFORMS Board was deeply impressed by his commitment to building upon the strong foundation of the journal, expanding its external visibility, driving publication impact, and further accelerating review cycles to serve our author community.
As we look forward to this exciting new chapter, we also express our heartfelt gratitude to outgoing Editor-in-Chief Georgia Perakis for her outstanding leadership. Under Georgia’s guidance, M&SOM achieved remarkable growth, expanded its departmental structure, and reached new heights in scholarly influence.
