Welcome to the INFORMS Pride Forum!!!
The Pride Forum encourages any member of INFORMS who self identifies as an Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and other (LGBTQ+) community member or an ally of the LGBTQ+ community to join the forum. An ally is an individual who is not a member of the LGBTQ+ community themselves but is motivated to support and help advance the interests of LGBTQ+ community.
Creation of the Pride Forum is a result of efforts by many INFORMS DEI Ambassadors and INFORMS staff members. Through this forum, we look forward to fostering a more interconnected and inclusive professional community.
The purposes of the INFORMS Pride Forum are:
- To encourage collaborative ties among individuals who share the objective of supporting and championing the interests of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and other (LGBTQ+) community.
- To encourage discussion and interaction among individuals having interest in fostering an equitable, inclusive, and safe environment for LGBTQ+ community in the profession of Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
- To encourage all forms of support for careers in Operations Research and the Management Sciences of individuals who self-identify as LGBTQ+ community members, and to publicize the successes of these individuals.
- Advise the Institute Board on issues facing the LGBTQ+ community in the profession.
