Shamnad specializes in transforming complex data challenges into innovative, scalable architectures across diverse industries. He holds deep expertise in data analytics, data management, data architecture, and business intelligence. A Fellow of BCS, Shamnad is an avid author on emerging and converging technologies, passionate about mentoring the next generation of technology professionals and actively contributing to the advancement of data science and engineering practices.
Rohit Nagpal - Secretary (2026 - )
Rohit Nagpal serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of INFORMS PNW and works as a Senior Data Engineer at Amazon, where he leads Data and AI automation initiatives within the Stores Finance organization. His work focuses on scalable data pipelines, AI-powered analytics platforms, and cost optimization at petabyte scale. With over 8 years of experience spanning data engineering, business intelligence, and applied analytics across e-commerce, retail, B2B pricing, and consulting, Rohit brings a diverse technical background to his roles.Rohit holds Bachelor of Engineering from Panjab University, Master of Science in Business Analytics from California State University, East Bay and a recipient of Graduate Academic Achievement Award. A published author in Communications of ACM and AI Journ covering AI-driven optimization and trust in AI-powered solutions. He actively contributes through mentoring next generation Data leaders.

Apoorv Mathur, Product Manager at Siemens, is a product leader with over 20 years of experience applying advanced analytics, optimization, AI and ML to high-impact business problems. At Siemens, he leads the Gridscale X products, helping utilities navigate the clean energy transition. Prior to Siemens, Apoorv has built analytical systems across domains, including recommendation engines, predictive analytics for human learning and abuse prevention systems, and energy trading and risk management models at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank. A frequent contributor to INFORMS and a Senior Member at IEEE, he also advises deep tech startups on strategy through Change Engine and Wheels Global Foundation. Apoorv holds an MBA from INSEAD, an M.S. in Operations Research from North Carolina State University, and a B.Tech from IIT Delhi.
Samridhi Vats
Samridhi Vats is a Business Analyst at Amazon, developing data-driven solutions that support large-scale customer service operations, product analytics, experimentation, and business decision-making. Her work centers on statistical monitoring, operational analytics, product performance measurement, and leveraging AI to generate actionable insights at scale. She holds an M.S. in Business Analytics and Information Management from Purdue University and previously worked as a Decision Analyst at ZS Associates. An active member of the analytics and operations research community, Samridhi has presented research at the INFORMS Annual Meeting, INFORMS Optimization Society Conference, and the Management Science Workshop in Chile. Her research interests include graph machine learning, supply chain analytics, privacy-preserving AI systems, and responsible artificial intelligence. As part of the INFORMS Pacific Northwest Chapter leadership team, she is passionate about fostering connections between industry professionals, researchers, and students while creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
