    The Booth School of Business at University of Chicago (Chicago, Illinois) invites applications for postdoctoral Principal Researcher (PR) positions. The PR will tackle research problems under the supervision of Prof. Baris Ata (and his collaborators). This position is structured to prepare the PR to transition to a faculty position at a major research institution.

    The PR is expected to be independently motivated to execute high-quality research in a collaborative environment. A successful candidate should have a PhD in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in developing optimization procedures, deep neural networks and coding with Python/Pytorch is preferred.

    This position will require the ability to work independently and in teams, and to communicate and organize well. The ability to communicate technical material effectively to a broad audience as well as the ability to set goals, track progress, and prioritize as necessary to meet the deadlines are highly desired. Term of appointment will be two years with competitive salary and benefits. Review of applications is happening now, on a rolling basis.
