The 2024 TSL Stella Dafermos Mid-Career Award goes to Alejandro Toriello (Georgia Tech)!
Alejandro has built a truly outstanding portfolio of scholarship that covers both methodological advances in dynamic optimization as well as important applied work in modern e-commerce and distribution logistics and tactical transportation systems planning and design. He has served our society in various roles, most importantly as President in the year 2023. He is a dedicated contributor to the most renowned journals of the field, including our flagship journal Transportation Science. Alejandro's scholarly work and that of his students has been recognized for its impact and innovation with a number of awards and honorable mentions.
The award will be presented at the TSL Business Meeting in Seattle. Alejandro will give a talk in the Awards Session on Tuesday 10.45. See you there!
