    Dear OR/MS Community Members,

In early spring, our team welcomed several new members, who rapidly caught up and, together with the rest of the team, diligently worked during this semester to deliver this fantastic issue! They are:

    • Yiwen Wang, as webmaster
    • Valentina Castañeda-Torres and Xiaoyu Ma, as production editors
    • Paula A. Penagos-Rodriguez and Zihan Zhang, as social media coordinators
    • Soham Agarwal and Alexander Scarcelli, as staff writers
    • Sen Li and Amir Moadab, as editors
Our team also had some mixing around, and some of our previous members are moving to different roles:

    • Nandan Kumar Singh, from production editor to staff writer
    • Harsh Anand, from webmaster to editor
    • Kara Combs, from social media coordinator to co-lead editor
Last but not least, we thank our departing members for their great service and contributions to our magazine: Abtin Ijadi Maghsoodi, Mihir Mehta, and Kimia Vahdat. We missed you during the production of this issue, but we wish you all a bright future!

In this issue, we (re)started a few new initiatives. We start our issue by bringing back to life our acclaimed and very-much-missed crossword puzzle! Make sure you read our articles, complete the puzzle, and submit your responses for a chance to win cash prizes! We continue with the official kick-off announcement of the 2023 Mini Poster competition!! Make sure you start preparing your mini poster and be ready to submit it in October.

Our articles discuss a myriad of topics in different areas. We continue our mental health series with a book review of "Managing your Mental Health during your PhD" by Zoe J. Ayres and an article about procrastination, filled with tips on surviving your last semester. Last issue, we started an industry series, which we continue in this issue by discussing  OR/MS applications in the finance industry, predictive analytics in the healthcare industry, and the implementation of data analytics for demand and supply management. Then, we move to the second part of the U.S. foster care system series: the parent-child matching problem.

Following that, we, of course, had to talk about ChatGPT and its use in research and teaching environments. For this, we interviewed Professor Tinglong Dai from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and Professor Matthieu Gruson from the University of Quebec in Montreal. In this issue, we also took a trip to South America to spotlight the award-winning INFORMS Student Chapter at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. We approach the end of our issue with the debut write-up of our new "Where are our alumni?" series showcasing our departed member, Dr. Yue Wang, incoming assistant professor at the University of Arizona.
