Thanks to everyone who participated in the live Ask Me Anything session about volunteering yesterday!
This question-and-answer thread is a wealth of information. One message we are hearing loud and clear is that members at all levels and of many different interests want to participate but are not sure how! Although we don't yet have a single online hub for volunteering opportunities around INFORMS, we are going to create a quick volunteering cheat sheet and post it here within the next few weeks. We hope this will be a helpful resource.
Also, keep in mind that many volunteering opportunities are announced here in the Open Forum. Many others are announced through the societies, sections, chapters, and forums – so make sure you have joined those communities that interest you! Reach out to the officers listed on the community websites. If you are not seeing announcements through INFORMS Connect, check that you are set to receive emails. Log in and go to your profile. Click on My Account > Community Notifications and adjust your settings to receive Daily Digest emails.
