    The Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University is currently recruiting for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Decision & System Sciences (DSS) to begin August 15, 2023. We seek candidates with a demonstrated interest in areas associated with supply chain management, data mining, business intelligence, relational databases, cyber analytics, programming (Python, Java, VBA), data warehousing, data visualization, machine learning/artificial intelligence, etc. Teaching excellence and a productive applied research program are expected of all candidates.

    The DSS department offers undergraduate majors and minors in supply chain management (SCM), business intelligence & Analytics (BIA), and Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI), Master of Science programs in Business Intelligence & Analytics (MSBIA) and in Medical Health Informatics (MSHI), as well as post-baccalaureate certificates in Data Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics and Data Management that may be used in our stackable MBA program.     The appointment requires a 3/3 course load with teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate is expected to achieve teaching excellence, demonstrate a productive and continuous applied research program, and participate in service to the University, the School of Business, and the department.

               

    Applicants should hold a Ph.D. (or expect to complete their degree by August 15, 2023) in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Operations Research, Cyber Analytics (including Computer Science and Engineering), Information Systems, or a closely-related discipline. Degrees must be awarded by AACSB or similarly-accredited institutions. Prior industry experience is valued.
