The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and the College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a full-time, appointment stream (non-tenure track) Assistant/Associate/Full Professor faculty position in Business Analytics starting Fall 2023.

The Business Analytics position will support the Business Analytics and Operations (BAO) area's growing teaching needs. The position requires a strong commitment to and demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching and student engagement. The ideal candidate would be well versed in various techniques commonly used in Business Analytics.  They should be willing to teach undergraduate, master, and executive education audiences in the following areas: business analytics, machine learning, data visualization, data mining & modeling, text mining, predictive and prescriptive modeling, optimization, and simulation. The faculty member may be asked to develop new courses as needs develop and change.  Professional work or research experience with "big data" analytics is highly desirable.  In addition, the faculty will be expected to participate in industry engagement, student co-curricular activities, and school-level and university-level committee work.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a business-analytics-related field, and leadership experience or potential in an academic unit is highly desirable.

Business Analytics is one of the school-wide strategic thrusts at the Katz Graduate School of Business and the College of Business Administration, where several Business Analytics programs have been initiated recently.  We expect the new faculty member to fully contribute to these programs and communicate effectively with constituents through teaching focused on analytics.  The successful hire will be expected to maintain one of the following faculty qualification statuses in accordance with AACSB guidelines: Scholarly Academic (SA), Practice Academic (PA), or Scholarly Practitioner (SP).

Materials submitted must include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae detailing educational background, a teaching statement (including evidence of teaching effectiveness and portfolio of courses taught), research and work experience, and three reference letters.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled or until February 27, 2023, whichever comes first.  Upload site:   https://cfopitt.taleo.net/careersection/pitt_faculty_external/jobdetail.ftl?job=22007891&tz=GMT-04%3A00&tzname=America%2FNew_York
