Re: Symposium on Environmental and Social Sustainability in Supply Chains, October 19, 2024
Dear Colleagues,
For those arriving in Seattle in the afternoon of October 19 and wondering if you can still attend part of the Symposium, there are still seats available even with almost 90 registered attendees so far (we have a spacious room, thanks to the UW organizers). If you intend to join the Symposium in the afternoon (without lunch) on Oct 19, please email owenwu@iu.edu and shichen@uw.edu with your name, affiliation, and title. We still need to honor those who pay registration fees by Oct 10, but we will confirm by Oct 10 whether we have seats for you (likely yes).
Below is the announcement we sent on 4th Sep, 2024 with registration link. Please forward this to your colleagues and students who might not have received the info.
===========
The University of Washington Foster School of Business and Indiana University Kelley School of Business are jointly hosting the 2024 Symposium on Environmental and Social Sustainability in Supply Chains, on October 19, 2024 (Saturday), just before the INFORMS Annual Meeting, at the Foster School of Business on UW campus in Seattle, the same plan as we announced in July.
We are excited to welcome once again distinguished scholars from our community, including Charles Corbett, Aleda Roth, Jeannette Song, and Brian Tomlin, as well as industry experts from (tentatively) Amazon, Microsoft, Alaska Airlines, and Starbucks, to share insights on a diverse range of sustainability topics. We are grateful to our colleagues at UW, particularly Shi Chen, for their planning over the summer and in the coming weeks, as they work to finalize speaker confirmations and ensure a successful event.
Registration is now open. Please note that you will need to enter your email and name on two separate pages (a google form and a payment site). This process ensures that the organizers (Shi and Owen) receive real-time updates on registered participants, so that we can contact you in a timely manner. The registration fee is $125 for faculty and $70 for students.

We are planning a full-day event from breakfast to late afternoon. The UW campus is a short ride from the INFORMS conference hotels.
We look forward to seeing you in Seattle.
