    Dear Colleagues –

Hope all of you are having a productive and enjoyable summer.

To reduce email fatigue, I am reporting to you the results of various EIC searches and EIC renewals for the following INFORMS journals in one email instead of 6 separate emails. (The review of M&SOM will be done later this year due to a major delay in forming the review committee. Also, some of my initiatives for improving the review process have been postponed due to some recent unexpected events related to plagiarism and data integrity.  Matt Walls (INFORMS Pub Director) and I will resume our efforts after our INFORMS meeting in October.)

I am pleased to inform you that I have received unanimous consent from the INFORMS board today about the following recommendations made by the INFORMS publication committee:  (All new terms will begin on Jan 1, 2024.)

    1.       Management Science: Christoph Loch (University of Cambridge) will succeed the current EIC David Simchi-Levi.

    2.       Operations Research: Amy Ward (University of Chicago) will succeed the current EIC John Birge.

    3.       Service Science: Guillaume Roles (INSEAD) will succeed the current EIC Saif Benjaafar.

    4.       Tutorials in OR: David Alderson (Naval Postgraduate School) will succeed the current EIC Doug Shier.

    5.       INFORMS Analytics Collection:  Nick Hall (OSU) will continue his second term as Editor of this collection.

    6.     Transportation Science: Karen Smilowitz (Northwestern University) will continue her second term as EIC.

As we all know, journal publications are important for our careers, and these editors, editorial board members, and reviewers are all volunteers to serve our INFORMS community and beyond.

On this note, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outgoing EICs (David Simchi-Levi, John Birge, Saif Benjaafar, Doug Shier) for their outstanding leadership and service that took all these journals to greater heights with bigger impact.  Please join me in thanking these individuals and their teams for their impeccable service to INFORMS throughout all these years!

At the same time, please join me in welcoming the incoming and continuing editors. I urge all of you to continue to support all EICs so that INFORMS can continue to thrive!

Thank you for your continued support!

    Christopher Tang

    INFORMS VP (publications)
