The Electricity Markets Team at Argonne National Laboratory seeking full or part time Graduate Research Aides for Spring or Summer 2023. Research Aides will work closely with Argonne staff to develop tools and statistical models to collect, manage and analyze large data sets related to U.S. power systems and wholesale power markets. This work will have applications across a wide range of topic areas including renewable energy integration, electricity market design and operation, integration of other emerging technologies. Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing optimization models and tools to analyze U.S. power systems and wholesale market interactions with an emphasis on understanding future power system trends under market evolution and continued decarbonization.
- Supporting multidisciplinary teams in the application of these methods and tools to complex issues in the domains of environmental, water, and energy system analysis.
- Preparing reports, papers, and presentations for conferences, workshops, and technical journals.
