If you haven't already noticed, my colleague, Jill Capello, occasionally puts up a poll question on the home page of INFORMS Connect. The current question is, "What was your primary reason for joining INFORMS?" Just go to your home page and you'll see the poll near the top left.
We have survey data on this (from a while ago), we learn about some members' reasons when they introduce themselves in the welcome thread, and we have a collection of anecdotes from the members we interact with regularly about what led them to join. But still, I'd like to know your answer. Networking is in the lead as of this post. True for you? What options did we miss?
