I had the pleasure of attending Dr. Kendra C. Taylor's engaging webinar, "Find Your Superpower: Unleash the Power of Analytics," organized by INFORMS. It was a fantastic event that offered deep insights into how analytics can be used to drive meaningful change across various sectors, beyond just business applications. One lesson from webinar I learned is that analytics holds transformative potential beyond business applications for example it can be a powerful tool for driving positive social change. Dr. Taylor's use of data analytics to combat human trafficking underscores how professionals can align their expertise with meaningful social causes. The INFORMS Pro Bono Analytics initiative, which connects analytics experts with nonprofits, is a great example of  how data-driven insights can optimize operations and impact across sectors. This highlights the broader significance of analytics in solving complex societal problems, inspiring professionals to seek purpose in their work and leverage their skills for the greater good.
