    The Department of Business and Administration at the University of Winnipeg is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Healthcare Analytics. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research under the supervision of Dr. Farzad Zaerpour. The postdoctoral fellow must have an interest and expertise in working with large healthcare data sets. In addition to data analytics skills, the postdoctoral fellow should have methodological expertise in one or more operations research domains, such as optimization, simulation, heuristics, and machine learning.

    The appointment is for a one-year term starting on October 1, 2022, or as soon as possible.

    Qualifications

    • Must hold a Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
    • Strong Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and/or Data Science.
    • Must have an excellent working knowledge of computer programming.
    • Must have depth and breadth of methodological expertise, healthcare domain knowledge, publication quality, and quantity, and grant writing experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
