    Professor Fang Liu and Professor Shuming Wang are jointly recruiting multiple postdoc fellows in the areas of data-driven optimization, supply chain resilience, distributionally robust optimization and OM with technology innovation. The candidate should have a strong background in mathematics, operations research, statistics, optimization, computer sciences, or related areas. Candidates who have experience in coding and data processing are preferred. A competitive salary will be provided for each qualified applicant.     Professor Fang Liu graduated from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and joined UCAS School of Economics and Management in 2020. She is the recipient of the excellence young scholar award (overseas). Her research interest is in humanitarian operations and supply chain resilience management. Specifically, she is interested in studying how to efficiently preposition emergency supplies at government-owned warehouses and in the supply network at the contract relief suppliers. She is also interested in how the government can provide incentives to relief suppliers to reserve emergency supplies. She has published multiple papers in the top journals in the field of Operations Management such as Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production Operations Management.

     

    Professor Shuming Wang graduated from Waseda University and joined UCAS School of Economics and Management in 2016. His research interests include robust and stochastic optimization, data-driven analytics, and applications in location science and transportation, supply chain management, financial risk management, and healthcare operations. He has published more than 30 papers including those in Production and Operations Management, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Transportation Science, Naval Research Logistics, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IISE Transactions.  He serves as an Area Editor of Computers & Operations Research (CAOR).
