    AI4OPT is recruiting multiple PhDs and postdocs for cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and optimization. Successful candidates will be part of research teams that bring together world leaders in AI and optimization from Georgia Tech, UC Berkeley, University of Southern California, UC San Diego, Clark Atlanta University, and University of Texas at Arlington. Projects range from methodological work to applications in energy, supply chains, sustainability, and circuit design and control. There will be significant opportunities to work with National Labs and industry, including research internships. Partners includes Intel, Google, Embark, UPS, Los Alamos National Lab, ISO New England, and many more.

     

    PhD students

    AI4OPT is looking for PhD students to start in Fall 2023. Up to date information on PhD projects is available on https://www.ai4opt.org/about/positions, with current positions available at Georgia Tech. The Institute is interested in students with a background in computer science, AI, machine learning, operations research, or a related field. Students who are admitted will work in teams that bring together world leaders in AI and optimization from six universities. There will be opportunities for exchanges between the sites, and for research internships with industry. These internships are unique in that they are long term and contribute to completion of the thesis.

    Postdocs

    AI4OPT is looking for postdocs starting as soon as possible and until all positions are filled. Up to date information is available on https://www.ai4opt.org/about/positions, with current positions available at Georgia Tech and USC. Applicants should have a PhD in computer science, AI, machine learning, operations research, or a related field. Successful candidates are expected to perform independent research that primarily focuses on applying large-scale optimization and machine learning to critical applications in power systems, logistics and supply chains, resilience and sustainability, and circuit design and control. Candidates will be part of research teams that bring together world leaders in AI and optimization from six universities, and will be expected to co-supervise students.
