The following note is from AAAS with an open invitation to a webinar. I'm sharing as an FYI.
(Also, if you attend and have comments to share back with the INFORMS community, please do.)
------
Hello Community,
With the release of the full FY26 budget proposal, the [US] Administration has put forward deep cuts to key science agencies: 56% to NSF, 43% to NIH, 24% to NASA, and 54% to EPA. These numbers are deeply concerning, but this isn't the end of the story.
Congress still has the power to decide the outcome, and our scientific community has an important role to play. We're hosting a webinar today at 2 p.m. ET with policy experts from the AAAS Office of Government Relations. Get a breakdown of the current proposed science budget, learn what it means for science, and receive tools to help you share your story with policymakers during the August recess.
The event is open to the public, so please invite your colleagues and networks to join us. Thank you for supporting AAAS.
