2024 MSOM Student Paper Competition
Finalists Announcement
We are pleased to announce the finalists of the 2024 MSOM Student Paper Competition, who have been selected out of a very strong pool of 147 submissions. We would like to thank all the 142 judges who carefully reviewed the submissions over two rounds.
The finalists in alphabetical order are as follows:
1. Tsai-Hsuan Chu (UPenn) for “Optimizing Health Supply Chains with Decision-Aware Machine Learning”.
2. Soonbong Lee (Yale) for “Dynamic Matching with Post-allocation Service and its Application to Refugee Resettlement”.
3. Yuri Resende (Columbia) for “Signaling Competition in Two-Sided Markets”.
4. Sadegh Shirani (Stanford) for “Causal Message Passing: A Method for Experiments with Unknown and General Network Interference”.
We would like to thank all the students who submitted their work and congratulate the four finalists!
The finalists will present their work during a special session at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Seattle (the session number will be communicated in a future announcement). The winners will be announced and awarded at the MSOM business meeting.
