Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to a one-week MIT course taught remotely from July 28 - August 1, 2025:
Future Transportation Systems: User-Centric, Green, Automated and AI-Driven
3.0 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)
Transportation is evolving with disruptive innovations including autonomous vehicles, electric mobility, and user-centric and AI-driven solutions. These changes demand new approaches to system design, integrating data, user behavior knowledge, smart operations, and new policies for sustainable mobility. Transportation Systems must now incorporate AI, predictive modeling, and connected vehicle technologies.
In addition to covering Smart Mobility, AI, and machine learning, the course leverages advanced modelling and simulation methods, predictive analytics, and demand and supply management systems. Key topics include on-demand mobility, connected and automated vehicles, big data, resiliency and the green transition, with case studies of integrated and dynamic mobility systems of today and tomorrow.
This course is designed for professionals in government, industry, and academia, including engineers, researchers, AI developers, and urban analysts. It offers insights into emerging transportation technologies, smart city integration, and sustainable mobility solutions, equipping participants with essential skills for the future of transportation.
One full-tuition scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding doctoral student with an application deadline of June 30, 2025. Partial scholarships (50%) are available for junior faculty, postdocs, and graduate students.
Additional information is available here. We appreciate your help in making people aware of this unique opportunity to study this summer at MIT.
Thanks,
