Professor Jorge Samayoa first came to INFORMS in 2010. When he returned to Texas A&M University after the Annual Meeting that year, he was inspired to get involved in the active student chapter there. His journey would later lead him to Purdue University, where he built that student chapter into an award-winning success story, and then to Universidad Galileo in Guatemala, where he founded the first INFORMS student chapter in Latin America.
