We are writing to announce an extended deadline of November 30, 2025 (11:59pm AoE) to the refereed proceedings of the 2026 INFORMS Optimization Society Conference (IOS 2026) that will be held March 20–22, 2026 in Atlanta, GA. This is the second edition of such proceedings in the IOS conference series, and we welcome submissions from all areas of optimization, including (but not limited to) continuous, discrete, stochastic, and applied optimization.

Manuscripts submitted to the refereed proceedings will be rigorously reviewed. Accepted papers will be highlighted on the IOS website, and those that are suitably rated by referees will be invited for an expedited review process at the INFORMS Journal on Optimization (IJOO). We anticipate that most accepted papers will be selected to meet this standard.

    Submission Rules

    • Submit papers at https://openreview.net/group?id=INFORMS.org/Optimization_Society/2026/Conference.
    • Paper submissions should be in the form of an extended abstract and must follow the IJOO Submission Guidelines. In particular, manuscripts should use the IJOO template (INFORMS-IJOO-template.tex) available at https://pubsonline.informs.org/authorportal/latex-style-files and follow the default format specifications for font size and spacing. Furthermore, your submissions should be **anonymized** (declare the document class as `\documentclass[ijoo,blindrev]{informs4}`).
    • The page limit for paper submissions is 14 pages plus references. Any further details can be placed in an appendix (no page limit), but reviewers are not required to check appendices.
    • A submitted paper will not be considered if (1) it is already published at a refereed venue (conference or journal); (2) it is submitted to any other refereed venue before the submission date or notification date; (3) it is submitted after the deadline; or (4) it is not formatted correctly.

IMPORTANT: Before submitting a refereed paper, authors are required to submit an abstract through IOS's general abstract submission system-either as part of an invited session or as a contributed submission. The expected notification date for refereed papers (February 15, 2026) is after the speaker registration deadline (January 15, 2026). Therefore, once an abstract has been accepted, at least one author must commit to registering and presenting the work at the conference regardless of the outcome of the refereed paper review. Accepted abstracts will not be affected by the decision on the papers submitted to the refereed proceedings.

NOTE: Please note that if a non-institutional email is used to create a new profile on OpenReview, then it may take up to two weeks for the profile to be approved. New accounts created using institutional emails should be activated automatically.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Joseph Paat (joseph.paat@ubc.ca) and/or Aleksandr Kazachkov (akazachkov@ufl.edu).
