We're excited to announce the launch of the "Industry Open Forum" on INFORMS Connect. It's an on-line forum dedicated to topics pertinent to industry professionals. Like the current "Open Forum," any INFORMS member can join and participate in the discussions. If you work for a company, please check it out and connect with your peers to discuss topics that matter in your day-to-day job. Got a question? Saw something noteworthy? Want to pass along a tip from the trenches? Consider the Industry Open Forum your virtual INFORMS water cooler.
Huge shout out to INFORMS Board member, @Robin Lougee, VP of Practice, who is the creator of this new forum. She heard a need from members in industry and she has responded.
If you aren't already part of the Industry Open Forum, you can request to join through the Industry Open Forum page and indicate if/how frequently you want to receive notifications from the community. If you have already been added, you can update your settings to reflect how often you receive email from the Industry Open Forum. Just go to Profile > My Account > Community Notifications. Next to each community is a drop-down list where you can choose to receive email from that community in a daily digest, in real time, or not at all (you'll still be able to see those posts when logged in to Connect).
