All - The INFORMS K-12 Outreach Subcommittee is sponsoring the inaugural "Take AIM (Analytics, Innovation, Mathematics)" Online High School OR/Analytics Competition. The competition is open to student teams (with a school advisor) from U.S. high schools. The attached flyer (in both pdf and jpeg formats) provides additional information. Please forward to your K-12 contacts and request that those contacts forward to high school students in their networks.
The heart of the competition will be Saturday, October 18th from 2:00-3:00 PM when registered teams will play the Gurobi Burrito Optimization Game live online. The top ten scoring teams will then be invited to give live virtual presentations on Saturday, November 1st from 2:00-3:00 PM EST. Final scores will be computed for the top ten teams (75% Gurobi score, 25% presentation score) and the results will be announced Saturday, November 8th. The top prize is $2,000 for the winning team.
Important Dates:
Monday, October 13th: Team registration deadline
Through October 17th: Students teams can complete practice rounds of the Gurobi Optimization Game and develop game strategies
October 18th 2:00-3:00 PM EST: Competition Stage
November 1st 2:00-3:00 PM EST: Presentation Stage
November 8th: Results announced
