INFORMS is saddened to share the passing of longtime member and INFORMS Fellow Richard W. Conway.

Richard received his education from and spent his entire career at Cornell University. During his time at Cornell, he played a pivotal role in the development of the Department of Computer Science.

A published author several times over, his first book, The Theory of Scheduling, brought together various scheduling papers into one publication.
