Glad to share that my article on how generations embrace health tech is "printed" in ORMS Today. All comments are welcome.

    Dear Aaron,

thank you very for your very interesting, stimulation and at the same time in various possible ways paradigmatic article!

    Please receive my cordial congratulations.

With the word "paradigmatic" I also aim at so-called "paradigm shifts" or "regime switching", which are so important in the realms of cultures and lifestyles, as well as of economies, financial markets and, of course, governments.

(Actually, with colleagues, students and friends, I worked on robust optimization and stochastic optimal control under regime switching or "hybrid systems" in the past.)

With your precious article, you have given lively illustration and real-world meaning to changes that occurred when "switches" happened between neighboring generations, which touches everyone and speaks into our lives.

In all these ways your article encourages the reader to an inner freedom, a joy and a courage to a certain vision, to think (and dream) further and to do OR-MS which matters and leaves traces in the minds and hearts of many in our community.

Thanks a lot to the INFORMS team for making this new discussion and thread possible and hosting it so kindly.

    With best wishes,
    sincere regards,
    Willi (Gerhard-Wilhelm Weber)

Hi Willi - thanks for your great words. I am glad that you enjoy the article. I have another article last year on Japanese YA culture (Kawaii or cute) and how AI could persuade users to make better decision. Please let me know what you think as well.

    Words Are Mightier Than Sword

It is interesting that you mention about paradigm changed in economics. Attached is an article I wrote on this topic. This is one of my favorites and I am sure you would find it interesting as I named it Paradigm Lost.

    Cheers,

    Aaron
