Happy new year to all of you! I hope you had a good holiday break!
I am writing with a few reminders and updates for the M&SOM Journal.
First I wanted to remind you about the M&SOM Journal new initiative "Frontiers in Operations"
The deadline to submit a paper is January 15, 2023.

In addition to the Frontiers in Operations Initiative in the journal, there are a few additional initiatives we have been piloting in the M&SOM journal
- The Practice Platform Department we started already hosted last three exciting virtual seminars with practitioners. You can explore those if interested at https://pubsonline.informs.org/page/msom/practice-platform. Pavithra Harsha, Jeremie Gallien and Ananth Raman are serving as department editors for this department.
- The M&SOM Practice Based Research Competition is undergoing again this year with Turgay Ayer and Jeremie Gallien as co-chairs.
- In addition to the Frontiers initiative, we are piloting a new version of Fast Track with the MSOM Society and the SIG event days again this year with the goal that the SIG review can serve as a first round for the journal (if a paper submitted to one of the SIGs is not already under review in another journal).

Above all, I want to take this chance to express my gratitude to everyone who is contributing to the success of the journal: The Department Editors, the Associate Editors as well as all the reviewers and submitting the authors but also last but certainly not least, the managing editor Machelle Zellers.
