Hello all sports fans - once again it's time for Freestyle O.R. Supreme, our Expo Game Show.  It's Wednesday morning October 19 in Indianapolis, and we welcome all competitors:  grad students, undergrads, early career professionals, and anybody else who wants to build a resume, practice consulting skills, or generally partake in the fun.  Last year's winning team received a ton of attention from our LinkedIn media release - always a good look when job hunting.

So what is it?  Freestyle O.R. Supreme Expo is our fast-moving live game show, in which students and early-career professionals are assigned to teams and are given the opportunity to frame a real-life problem and present an overview of a solution in real time. This is a great opportunity to participate in the conference without having to write a paper or make a poster and leads to great career networking.

A "client" will present a 10 – 15 minute overview of a real-world problem to solve. Your team will have a 30 minute break out session to craft your 3 – 5 minute O.R. presentation with recommendations for methodology for an implementable solution. The client will listen to each team and give feedback on their presentations, and will select a winner from the presentations.

We are also looking for industry partners who are looking to participate in Freestyle O.R. Supreme, a fun and fast way to get new ideas from the next generation of OR/MS and analytics professionals. Let me know if this is your cup of tea.

Want to join?  Sign up here today:  it's only an expression of interest, not a commitment.
