    ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR 

    Industrial Engineering

    The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in all areas of Industrial Engineering, including but not limited to human factors, advanced manufacturing, and data science and analytics. Individuals will also be considered at associate or full professor rank if they possess outstanding qualifications commensurate with the rank. 

    Successful applicants are required to have an earned Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a related field and are expected to develop and maintain an active, externally-funded research program as well as teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

    The Department offers BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and currently has an undergraduate enrollment of about 800 and a graduate enrollment of about 280.

    Qualifications:

    Applicants are required to send a letter of application indicating their qualifications, an up-to-date CV including the names and contact information of three references, and separate one-page statements outlining their future teaching and research plans.
