The College of Management of Technology (CDM) at EPFL invites applications for a faculty position in Management Science. The appointment will be at the Tenure Track level (in exceptional cases, appointments at other ranks might be considered), with an expected start date of summer 2023 (or mutually agreed upon).
Successful candidates have the ability to leverage EPFL's strengths in management, basic and computer sciences, and engineering. Candidates from all areas of Management Science will be considered. Those with a research agenda focused on sustainability are particularly encouraged to apply. Examples of research areas include, but are not restricted to, sustainable operations management, mechanism design for social good, computational and algorithmic approaches to sustainability, ESG ratings, economics of sustainability, emission tracking or urban transportation and energy systems.
A doctorate will be required at the starting date. The candidate is expected to develop an independent and competitive research program in a multidisciplinary environment. The faculty member will supervise their own PhD students and engage with researchers in related fields across the EPFL campus and with neighboring Leman area institutes via the Enterprise for Society (E4S) Center. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and contribute to CDM's new education programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
