Dear all,
On behalf of the Decision Analysis Society, we are excited to announce the winner and runner-up of the 2024 Decision Analysis Society Student Paper Award. We received many (a record number of!) competitive submissions this year, and the Committee's job was hard. We want to thank all the students who submitted their work to the competition and encourage them to keep up the great work.
The winner and runner-up are:
Winner: Yuchen Hu from Stanford University, for the paper "Minimax-Regret Sample Selection in Randomized Experiments."
Runner-up: Genshen Fu from Tsinghua University, for the paper "Balancing Algorithmic Clairvoyance with Human Preferences: An Inverse Reinforcement Learning Approach for Last-Mile Deliveries."
The awards will be presented at the DAS Awards Session at the upcoming INFORMS Annual meeting (Summit - 342 on Monday October 21st, 4pm-5:15pm) and the winner will give a presentation of her work. (Also, a heads-up to the community for the DAS Business Meeting, which will be on that same day, Monday, at 6.30 pm.)
