(in conjunction with International Conference on Information Systems)

The Workshop on e-Business (WeB) is a prominent annual one-day event dedicated to advancing research focused on e-Business and e-Commerce. It is held in conjunction with the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and organized by the Association for Information Systems (AIS). The theme for WeB 2025 is "E-business transformation facing AI-induced Uncertainties." This workshop aims to foster open dialogue and collaboration by bringing together researchers and industry leaders to share cutting-edge research, explore new ideas, reflect on successes and challenges, and collaboratively shape the future of e-Business in an era of rapid AI-driven change.

We invite original research articles that examine how AI-induced uncertainties are reshaping the landscape of e-business-spanning consumers, firms, industries, and governments-and addressing both strategic and technical dimensions. For instance, submissions may explore shifting consumer behavior under algorithmic influence, personalized marketing amid data volatility, and the implications of AI for customer experience and satisfaction in uncertain environments. For businesses, articles could investigate how firms are integrating AI into supply chains, navigating dynamic decision-making under data ambiguity, and maintaining operational resilience. Industry-oriented studies might delve into the role of AI in driving innovation, transforming competitive dynamics, and enabling or disrupting sector-specific transformations. Government-related topics may include policy responses to AI disruptions, evolving regulatory frameworks, and the ethical deployment of AI in public services. We also welcome research that critically examines how AI-driven strategies align with principles of corporate social responsibility, ethical governance, and stakeholder accountability.

We encourage submissions that offer theoretical advancements, empirical insights, and practical implications for understanding how e-business evolves in an age of intelligent systems and strategic uncertainty.

Research topics may include, but are not limited to:

    • AI Transformation for E-business
