Scope and Theme of CEMA 2025: CEMA Annual Meetings are benchmark academic conferences, gathering researchers and practitioners engaged in the application of economics, finance, mathematics, operations, and risk management to commodity and energy markets. CEMA 2025 will continue to welcome contributions in all areas of commodity and energy markets, but its theme will be the ongoing CLEAN ENERGY TRANSITION, emphasizing issues pertaining to climate change and sustainability as they relate to commodity and energy markets. Information about CEMA, including prior meetings, is available at cem-a.org.

- CEMA Best Paper Award (€500)
- CEMA Best PhD Paper Award (€500)
- ESSEC-Amundi Best ESG Paper Award (€1,500) to reward the best paper focusing on Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) concerns in the commodity space.
Special Issue: Papers presented at CEMA 2025 are eligible for consideration for possible publication in a special issue (SI) of the Journal of Commodity Markets (JCM) on "The Energy Transition" and related topics. The usual JCM submission fee will be waived for these papers. The SI submission deadline is September 15, 2025, so that interested authors have the opportunity to integrate the feedback received at the conference. Papers submitted to this SI will be reviewed promptly, with the goal of keeping revisions ideally to a single round and having the SI released in spring 2026. Michel Robe, Chair of the CEMA 2025 Scientific Committee, Rita d'Ecclesia, Joëlle Miffre, and Carlo Mari will edit the SI.
