    Dear INFORMS Community, 

    OR/MS Tomorrow, the vibrant online magazine produced by students for INFORMS, is calling for volunteers! Our biannual publication offers a unique student perspective on operations research and management sciences. Under the guidance of a senior faculty advisor and a dedicated student editorial team, we explore relevant topics, celebrate student achievements, and shed light on current events and issues in OR and MS.

    We are now looking for 2 Editorial Board Members, 3-4 Editorial Staff Writers, 1 Social Media Coordinator, and 1 Webmaster.

    As a team member, you will contribute significantly to our professional society and hone vital skills like teamwork and communication. Being a part of the editorial board also opens doors to invaluable networking opportunities with students and professionals globally in OR/MS.

    Description of the positions:

    Position Title: Production Editor

    Work Location: Virtual, via email and conference calls, in person at the INFORMS Annual Meeting (free registration and some travel reimbursement provided).

    Impact: Help to collate the articles and graphics together into a cohesive and visually attractive publication.

    Responsibilities: Coordinate the overleaf project, handle potential conflicts with packages or syntax, and participate in the development of the overall layout and production design for the publication.

    Qualifications: Current or recent student, knowledge/experience with producing large/complex documents in latex.

    Time Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per issue, for a term of 1-2 years.

    Position Title: Webmaster

    Work Location: Virtual, via email and conference calls, in person at the INFORMS Annual Meeting (free registration and some travel reimbursement provided).

    Impact: Coordinates the website and helps delivery the ORMS Tomorrow content

    Responsibilities: Managing the website, publishing content on the website (converting all material into TEX to HTML format and then including it on the website), making additional changes after the final review, assisting co-editors where needed

    Qualifications: Current or recent student, knowledge/experience with (or noticeable interest in learning) web hosting and development.

    Time Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per issue, for a term of 1-2 years.

    Position Title: Staff Writer  

    Work Location: Virtual, via email and conference calls, in person at the INFORMS Annual Meeting (free registration and some travel reimbursement provided).

    Impact: Acts as the voice of the OR/MS/Analytics student community.

    Responsibilities: Research, develop, and write stories relevant to students in OR/MS/Analytics. May also conduct interviews with INFORMS members and luminaries in the field.

    Qualifications: Current or recent student, knowledge of topics relevant to students in the field, and excellent writing skills.

    Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours a month, for a term of 1-2 years.

    Position Title: Editorial Board Member

    Work Location: Virtual, via email and conference calls; in person at the INFORMS Annual Meeting (free registration and some travel reimbursement provided).

    Impact: Helps to improve the overall clarity of the publication's message.

    Responsibilities: Review and appropriately edit each article for publication. Additional duties include properly formatting the articles and communicating with the Staff Writers.

    Qualifications: Current or recent student, excellent writing and proofreading skills.

    Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours a month, for a term of 1 year.

    Position Title: Social Media Coordinator

    Work Location: Virtual, via email and conference calls, in person at the INFORMS Annual Meeting (free registration and some travel reimbursement provided).

    Impact: Coordinate and manage the announcement of ORMS Tomorrow content on social media.

    Responsibilities:  Create original content to promote ORMS Tomorrow across all social media platforms.

    Qualifications: Current student, knowledge, and experience in writing, good communication skills.

    Time Commitment: Approximately 3-4 hours a month, for a term of 1-2 years.
