    Call for Session Proposals – INFORMS 2025 Annual Meeting (Military and Security Cluster)

    Dear Colleagues,

    The INFORMS Military and Security Society (MAS) invites session proposals for the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting, to be held in Atlanta, GA, on October 26-29, 2025. This premier forum brings together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to discuss cutting-edge research, methodologies, and applications in military operations research, defense logistics, cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, and national security.

    Session Organization

    We welcome proposals for two session formats:

    • Regular Sessions – 4-5 presentations of 15 minutes each (75-minute session)

    • Flash Sessions – 8-12 presentations of 5 minutes each (75-minute session)

    Each presentation will be in-person only, and speakers are limited to one presentation per conference.

    We seek innovative and impactful session proposals covering a wide range of military and security applications, including but not limited to:

    1. Operational and Strategic Decision Making

    • Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization

    • Game Theory and Adversarial Decision Making

    • Wargaming and Simulations

    • Mission Planning and Command & Control

    • Deterrence and Strategic Stability

    2. National Security and Defense Analytics

    • Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Analytics

    • Border Security and Homeland Defense

    • Cybersecurity, Cyber Warfare, and Information Operations

    • Homeland Security Risk and Threat Analysis

    • Cognitive Warfare and Psychological Operations

    3. Emerging Technologies and Innovation

    • Autonomous Systems and Unmanned Platforms

    • Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (Counter-UAS)

    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning Applications

    • Advanced Materials, Energy Systems, and Space Operations

    4. Economic and Acquisition Security

    • Acquisition and Economic Security in Defense

    • Defense Industrial Base Resilience

    • Strategic Resource Allocation and Logistics

    • Defense Budgeting and Cost Analysis

    5. Network and Infrastructure Resilience

    • Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience

    • Disaster Response and Humanitarian Assistance

    • Supply Chain Risk and Disruption Management

    6. Health and Readiness

    • Combat Medicine and Casualty Evacuation

    • Healthcare Optimization for Military and Veterans

    • Biosecurity and Pandemic Response

    Session Proposal Criteria

    • Relevance to military and security operations research
    • Originality and contribution to the field
    • Clarity of session objectives and structure
    • Organizer expertise and experience

    Important Deadlines

    • April 7, 2025 – Deadline for Session Chairs to submit Session Proposals
    • May 9, 2025 – Deadline for Session Chairs to submit Presenters
    • May 23, 2025 – Deadline for Presenters to submit Abstracts
    • August 1, 2025 – Deadline for Presenters to register for INFORMS
    • October 26-29, 2025 – INFORMS Annual Meeting (Conference Website)
