    Dear colleagues,

The upcoming INFORMS Annual Meeting will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from October 26–29, 2025. On behalf of the INFORMS Data Mining Society, we are excited to invite proposals for session chairs within the Data Mining (DM) cluster.

We welcome sessions covering a broad spectrum of theories, methodologies, and applications across academic, industry, and policy domains. Chairing a session is a valuable way to engage with the community, exchange ideas with peers, and foster collaborations on cutting-edge data mining research.

As a session chair, your role includes proposing a session theme, inviting 4–5 speakers, and moderating the 75-minute session during the conference. Please note that per INFORMS guidelines, each speaker may only present in ONE session at the Annual Meeting.

To help us plan and coordinate sessions effectively, please note the following key dates:

    • April 17: Deadline to express interest in chairing a session

    • May 1: Deadline to finalize session speakers

    • May 15: Deadline for speakers to submit abstracts

    • August 1: Deadline for speaker registration

If you are interested in chairing a session, please send an email to Woody Zhu (shixianz@andrew.cmu.edu) by April 10, including a tentative session title and an optional brief session description.

Even if you're unable to chair a session this year, we would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with others or suggest colleagues we should reach out to directly.

Thank you for your support and contributions to the Data Mining community!

    Best regards,
    Shixiang (Woody) Zhu
On behalf of the INFORMS Data Mining Society Cluster Chairs
