    Dear Colleagues, 

    As the Cluster Chair of the Committee's Choice Cluster on Data, Operations Research, and Social Justice at the 2023 INFORMS Annual Conference, I would like to invite you to organize and chair a sponsored session for the track. This year, the INFORMS Annual Meeting will be held October 15 - 18, 2023 in Phoenix, AZ.

    We welcome anyone who is interested to chair a session, including students, faculty, and industry/nonprofit professionals. As session chair, you will be responsible for inviting 4-5 speakers to present in a 75 minute session, with each presentation lasting approximately 15 minutes.

    A list of potential topics consistent with the aims of SOLA from prior conferences  are included below. We welcome sessions from any of these themes, as well as others you may think of.

    If you are interested in serving as a session chair for one or more sessions, please contact cluster chair Kayse Lee Maass (k.maass@northeastern.edu) by March 14, 2023.

    • May 2: Deadline for session chairs to enter presenters
    • May 16: Deadline for presenters to submit abstract
    • August 1: Speaker registration deadline

    • Food Access
    • Migration and Immigration: Including refugee resettlement, border security, immigrant labor, migrant workers
    • Civil Rights
    • Income inequality: Including poverty, homeless rights, social welfare reform, minimum wage, healthcare reform, student debt crisis, labor unions
    • Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice: Including reducing sentencing discrimination, profiling, wrongful convictions, mass incarceration, etc. 
    • Racial Equity
    • LGBTQIA+ Rights
    • Affordable and Accessible Healthcare
    • Equity, fairness, and reducing disparities
