    Call for Posters: INFORMS Security Conference 2024

     

    The 3rd INFORMS Security Conference, scheduled for July 28-30 in Arlington, VA, extends a cordial invitation to both academic and professional communities to participate in its poster sessions. There will be two tracks: (1) General Track and (2) Student Track. Posters will be evaluated by a group of judges. A winner and runner-up will be announced for each track in the final plenary session.

     

    Conference Information

     

    Situated in proximity to Washington, D.C., the conference engages a diverse group of individuals-including industry experts, researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners-who are at the forefront of navigating and resolving the large variety of security challenges that pervade individual, organizational, national, and global arenas. This conference represents a critical forum for the dissemination and discussion of innovative research and applied methods in operations research and analytics, aimed at addressing the increasing and complex security challenges on a global scale.

     

    Poster Sessions

     

    The poster sessions are designed to facilitate the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge research (theoretical and applied) in operations research/analytics relevant to security. Participants will have the opportunity to:

    • Present methodologies and research findings to a distinguished audience of peers and sector leaders.
    • Engage in meaningful dialogue with experts across various domains, including but not limited to national defense, cybersecurity, and security research.
    • Absorb novel methodologies and update operational practices by exposure to the forefront of security applications and research.

     

    Topics of Interest

    Submissions are encouraged across a broad spectrum of topics, with particular interest in:

    • Homeland Defense
    • National Security
    • Medical, Health, and Humanitarian Assistance
    • Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity
    • Supply Chain, Energy, and Transportation
    • Risk Analysis and Management
    • Crisis Response Strategies
    • Advanced Simulation for Security Planning
    • Privacy and Ethical Considerations in Security Analytics
    • Technological Innovations in Border Security

     

    Submission Requirements

     

    Contributors are asked to submit posters that concisely articulate the research question, methodology, key findings, and the relevance of their work to security practices. Indicate clearly whether the submission is intended for the General Track or Student Track. Submissions must represent original work that has not been previously presented or published.
