A few month ago, I reached out to the former EICs of IISE Transactions and invited them to share their thoughts and perspectives in a special section of the journal. The first article of this nature, entitled "Back to the future-IIE Transactions 1988," is contributed by Dr. Al Soyster, the 6th EIC of IISE Transactions (1989-1992). The article will be published in the February 2023 issue of IISE Transactions (vol 55, No 2, pp. 107-110) and is now available online https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/24725854.2022.2116508.
